Land Tec Landscape Contractors is looking for an experienced driver to operate various large water trucks. This is a full-time, seasonal position available from late April to approximately late October (weather permitting). Job involves watering of sod, trees, and shrubs. This job also has the requirement to assist landscape crews that have been delayed. Hours of operation typically 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, however overtime and weekend work may be required to complete watering tasks due to the sensitive nature and requirements of plant material.
Work
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating safely, maintaining vehicles in working order, monitor equipment performance and mechanical fitness, loading and unloading of goods, plan travel and routes, concise record keeping including safety documents and material job costing, and reporting to the Landscape Coordinator or Foreman.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in vehicle operations
- Valid Class 5 license with a clean driving record.
- Q(air) or Class 3 endorsement is considered an asset.
- Mechanical experience an asset
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Transportation to and from work daily
