Role Description The Dealing Representative (Exempt Market Dealer) is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mississauga, ON, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. In this position, the Dealing Representative will identify and engage prospective investors, conduct suitability assessments, and present exempt market products in line with regulatory requirements and firm policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, explaining investment offerings, gathering and reviewing know-your-client (KYC) information, and processing subscription documents accurately and promptly. The role also involves maintaining ongoing client relationships, responding to inquiries, providing product updates, and supporting investor education initiatives. The Dealing Representative will collaborate with internal teams, participate in training sessions, and contribute to sales strategies that align with the firm’s ethical standards and compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective and existing investors to understand their investment objectives.
- Present CIRA's real estate investment opportunities to qualified investors.
- Build and maintain long-term investor relationships.
- Conduct Know Your Client (KYC) and suitability discussions.
- Coordinate investor onboarding with the firm's appointed Exempt Market Dealer.
- Review and assist with subscription documentation.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and investor files.
- Follow up on investor inquiries and manage the sales pipeline.
- Work closely with internal teams to support capital raising initiatives.
- Stay informed on exempt market products and Canadian securities regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly and professionally.
- Proven Customer Service capabilities, with a client-focused approach and commitment to building long-term relationships.
- Demonstrated Sales experience in financial services or related fields, with the ability to meet targets responsibly.
- Experience in Training or mentoring, with the capacity to support client education and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing.
- Effective Negotiation skills to manage client expectations and align investor needs with suitable exempt market offerings.
- Understanding of securities regulations and exempt market products, or willingness to quickly learn and comply with all requirements.
- Relevant licensing or registration as a Dealing Representative under applicable securities regulations, or eligibility to obtain it.
- Post-secondary education in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to manage documentation and regulatory obligations.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing time effectively between office and remote work.
Compensation
Commission-based position only.
Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
