Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shingler/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and a willingness to learn new skills in the construction industry. Prior experience in carpentry or handyman work is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Duties
- Assist with shingling and roofing installation using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other supplies
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Use caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing of roofs
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, and other structural elements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris
- Follow safety protocols at all times during project execution
- Assist skilled workers with various handyman tasks as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or handyman work is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is advantageous
- Experience with caulking, sealing, or roofing is a plus
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job and adapt to different tasks
