PROJECT ARCHITECT
Location: Winnipeg, MB or Kelowna, BC

Salary Range: $90K - 120K
Our client, a well-established and growing architecture and interior design practice, is seeking a
Project Architect to join its collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed or experienced architect who enjoys leading projects from concept through construction while balancing creativity, technical excellence, and exceptional client service.
Working closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary project teams, you'll play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential projects, guiding both design direction and project execution.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Project Architect, you'll be responsible for translating design intent into successful built outcomes. You'll lead project teams, coordinate consultants, oversee technical documentation, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys solving complex design challenges, mentoring team members, and building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural projects through all phases, from concept design to construction completion.
- Develop creative, practical, and technically sound design solutions that align with client goals and project budgets.
- Coordinate architects, technologists, consultants, and external project partners throughout the design and construction process.
- Prepare, review, and oversee construction documentation and technical deliverables.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards, schedules, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
- Guide and mentor project teams while providing technical leadership.
- Communicate design ideas through sketches, presentations, and project documentation.
- Participate in client meetings and maintain strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and represent the firm within the architectural and design community.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Architecture or completion of the RAIC Syllabus program.
- Minimum 5 years of architectural project experience across commercial and/or residential sectors.
- Strong understanding of project delivery, construction documentation, specifications, and building systems.
- Demonstrated project management and team leadership experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- LEED accreditation is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with REVIT
