Ocean Island Inn | Backpackers | Suites is seeking an IT Professional for casual and ongoing work.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manage and improve our network of 12 workstations on a Windows Homegroup, Windows server, firewalls and various ancillary equipment such as modems, routers, switches, printers, payment processors, etc.
- Manage our 24 security camera system, central DVR and cloud based dashboard.
- Support staff who are working remotely.
- Review and improve documentation.
- Purchase, setup and configure various hardware and software components.
QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES
- Must currently live in Victoria, BC
- The ability to work independently and liaise with managers and users
- Experience with a range of wifi equipment such as modems, routers, switches, access points/repeaters and meshed systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise and keep our systems up and running efficiently.

- Part-time casual and ongoing
- Work times are flexible, depending on your schedule and what urgent situations arise.
- On call, though emergency situations are rare.
- Compensation based on experience.
