Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding tasks.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join metal parts accurately according to specifications.
- Use plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other machinery to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely for material handling and positioning of heavy parts.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices; apply basic math skills for accurate fabrication.
- Fabricate structural components, and custom assemblies for various projects in construction or manufacturing settings.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with welding equipment, machinery, and hazardous materials; maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG), fabrication, or related manufacturing roles.
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery such as press brakes, plasma cutters, cranes, forklifts, and schematics reading.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings or schematics.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, assembly processes, and construction experience is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and basic math for precise measurements.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and practices; certification in welding or related fields is a plus.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods; capable of lifting heavy materials safely; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
