We are looking for a Testing and Compliance Technician onsite at our location to support the CPEG Oskam division. This full-time, exempt position is responsible for assisting project production operations. The individual may be responsible for managing some small projects and performing basic project management duties. Report To: Testing & Compliance Lead
*Based on employee capabilities and company requirements. The Technician should have knowledge in some or all of these sections:
Functional Testing
- Single and three phase AC and DC power wiring (wiring of motors, heaters, control power supplies, etc.)
- Discrete control wiring and function of discrete control devices (pressure switches, temperature switches, limit switches, solenoids, contactors, starters, etc.)
- Analog control wiring and function of analog control devices (pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, thermocouples, RTD’s, I/P controllers, etc.)
- Calibration of analog and discrete instrumentation (pressure switches, temperature switches, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, etc.)
- Operating characteristics of centrifugal pumps (how to interpret a pump curve, what to expect when operating pumps, how to identify undesirable operating conditions, etc.)
- Operating characteristics of fixed and variable positive displacement pumps (how to interpret pump curves & specifications, what to expect when operating pumps, how to identify undesirable operating conditions, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret test specifications and general customer specifications (ordering drawings, device summaries, operating specifications, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings including P&I, electrical, arrangement and assembly drawings.
- Ability to implement schemes for testing based on specifications.
- Ability to specify, source and utilize needed instruments, materials and equipment for implementing and performing functional tests.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Industrial Technician / Electrical - Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, installing, and maintaining required in-house electrical, instrumentation, network, and if applicable mechanical infrastructure used for testing and production requirements.
Testing Assistant
- Understand various hydraulic and electrical parts/components that are required for use in the assembly of functional test loops required to test equipment for production purposes.
- Assist in the setup and tear down of hydraulic and electric test equipment.
- Assist in general housekeeping duties and organization of hydraulic and electrical fittings, hydraulic hoses, test carts, transfer pumps and associated test equipment.
System Integration / HMI development /PLC programming
- Develop a strong understanding of the various control systems currently in use between various equipment and control platforms. Offer improvements and participate in upgrades and maintenance as required.
Design / Compliance
- Understanding of device markings
- Ability to read and interpret drawings including P&I, electrical, arrangement and assembly drawings.
Secondary Tasks
- Miscellaneous tasks as required

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
