Position Available Junior Estimator
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in construction estimating, project management, and pricing strategies within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The Junior Estimator will support senior team members by preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and assisting with bid proposals to ensure competitive and profitable project submissions.
Duties
- Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates using industry software -Bluebeam.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and material requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information.
- Support the development of bid proposals by compiling cost data, labor estimates, and material quantities.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference.
- Participate in project meetings to understand project scope and client requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Track Job progress and project budgets.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices.
- Experience or familiarity with Bluebeam, Excel software is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and subcontractors.
- Understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Effective communication skills to clearly articulate estimates and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to learn and adapt to evolving project needs. This role provides a valuable platform for career growth within the construction industry, offering hands-on experience in estimating, project coordination, and client engagement while supporting the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.
Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
