Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling payments, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations related to food handling and service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or plates as needed
- Basic understanding of food handling, preparation, and serving protocols
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
