Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Casa Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within our educational environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, fostering growth, learning and independance for children with diverse needs.
The Casa Educator will collaborate closely with other educators and team members to create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere that promotes early childhood development.
Successful applicants are required to have a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within the last six months, up-to-date immunizations, a doctor's health assessment and a valid First Aid & CPR C certification prior to employment in August.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children following the Montessori Scope and Sequence
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth through individualized attention and group interactions
- Lead and mentor classroom management skills, ensuring a safe, prepared and organized environment
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members using strong communication in both verbal and written forms
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Use computer skills for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Manage time efficiently to balance multiple responsibilities throughout the day
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding children in activities that promote independence and confidence
- Uphold organizational standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations and educational policies
Qualifications
- Must hold AMI or MACTE recognized Casa qualifications
- Experience working with children in early childhood education or childcare settings
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Computer literacy including basic operation of relevant software applications
- Classroom experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Passion for teaching, childcare, and supporting children's development
