At bénie’s, we are redefining the “slop bowl” experience with vibrant, internationally-inspired salad and rice bowls. Operating from our Kensington Market shop, we’re a in a tight, efficient space looking to offer big, design-forward flavors with great customer service at it‘s core. We are looking for dynamic team members to grow with us.
The Role
We are looking for adaptable, high-energy Team Members who thrives in a customer facing environment. At bénie’s, everyone does a bit of everything. One hour you might be crafting a flawless bowl on the assembly line, and the next you might be managing the payment system or finishing up cleaning the dishes and keeping the kitchen sparkling.
If you are a quick thinker who genuinely loves connecting with people and takes pride in a clean, organized workspace, you will fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
Because we operate with a lean, efficient team, you will rotate through multiple stations daily:
Hospitality & Cash: Greet guests with authentic warmth, navigate our POS system efficiently, manage modifications, and handle transactions accurately.
Assembly Line (The Build): Assemble bowls with speed, precision, and beautiful presentation, ensuring strict adherence to portion controls and recipe SOPs.
Drink Station: Prepare and serve signature house beverages efficiently while maintaining a clean, stocked station.
Prep Support: Assist in light food prep (restocking lines, organizing ingredients) to ensure the service line never runs dry.
Dish & Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless environment. Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and follow strict food safety guidelines to keep the shop pristine.

Quick Thinking & Agility: You can read a room, anticipate bottlenecks during a rush, and pivot to where the team needs you most without being asked.
Multitasking Hustle: You view a multi-duty role as an exciting challenge rather than a chore. You are comfortable moving between guest interactions and back-of-house tasks.
Reliability & Teamwork: You show up on time, communicate clearly, and bring a positive, collaborative energy to the shift.
Food Safety: Valid Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain one before starting) is required.
