We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our team at our Nanaimo Street location. This position is for a high-level communicator who brings a high degree of maturity, reliability, and industry expertise to the floor.
Position Type: Variable Hours
- Flexible Schedule: This is a dynamic role where hours vary based on store needs. Some weeks may require part-time coverage, while others may scale up to full-time hours. We are looking for a reliable individual who is comfortable with a shifting weekly volume.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven Experience: You have 1–2 years of direct experience in cannabis retail and a deep understanding of the industry landscape.
- Independent Operator: You thrive in a role that requires high levels of autonomy. You are fully confident managing solo shifts and overseeing the storefront from open to close with total accountability.
- Meticulous with Numbers: You possess exceptional cash handling skills. You are precise, organized, and take pride in a perfectly balanced till at the end of every shift.
- Expert Educator: You possess a sophisticated understanding of terpene profiles and can articulately explain the nuances of different effects to a diverse range of customers.
- Exclusivity: This position requires a dedicated professional; as such, candidates must not be currently employed by a competitor.
Key Responsibilities
- Solo Operations & Security: Acting as a trusted Key Holder, managing opening and closing procedures with meticulous attention to detail.
- Financial Accountability: Precise cash handling, till reconciliation, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions during solo shifts.
- Inventory & Compliance: Ensuring accurate inventory is maintained and ensuring the store operates at peak efficiency and full provincial compliance without direct supervision.
- Product Advocacy: Guiding customers through a curated selection, using your deep product knowledge to provide tailored recommendations.
- Operational Excellence: Maintaining a high standard for store aesthetics, cleanliness, and handling point-of-sale operations with precision. Experience with Cova is an asset but not required.
Requirements & Availability
- 1–2 years of Cannabis Retail experience (Required).
- Valid Selling It Right certification.
- Must be available for all Store hours we are open 365 days a year
- Store Hours: Monday through Sunday, 9 AM to 11 PM. Christmas day 9:00 AM TO 3:OO PM New Years Day 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Shift Times: * Nanaimo: 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 11:15 PM.
