Position Overview
We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented TCP/LCT (Traffic Control Person / Lane Closure Technician) to become part of our growing team. In this key role, you will be responsible for executing traffic control plans, setting up lane closures, and ensuring the safety of workers and the public across various job sites. A proactive mindset is essential to help maintain efficient traffic flow while complying with all safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install and remove traffic control equipment, including cones, barriers, signage, and flagging devices, in accordance with approved traffic management plans.
- Safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through or around construction and work zones.
- Continuously monitor work areas to identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions and address them promptly.
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and the public to ensure coordinated and safe operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs and safety checklists.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure a secure work environment.
- Support the onboarding and training of new employees on traffic control procedures and equipment usage.
Requirements
- Prior experience in traffic control or lane closure operations is an asset but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods in outdoor conditions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, clients, and the public.
- Familiarity with traffic control equipment, signage standards, and safety regulations is considered an advantage.
- Valid TCP or LCT certification is preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain certification if not already certified.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Pay: $25.00-$31.00 per hour
