Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Core Logging Geologist to support active drilling programs at our project site in British Columbia. This is a field-based role requiring extended rotations in Merritt, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the systematic logging, sampling, and documentation of drill core, and will play a key role in advancing our geological understanding of the deposit.
Core Logging & Sampling
- Log drill core in detail, including lithology, alteration, mineralization, veining, and structure
- Mark sample intervals and coordinate core cutting and bagging in accordance with QA/QC protocols
- Photograph core trays and maintain organized, accurate core storage
- Identify and document indicator minerals consistent with the target deposit style (low-sulphidation epithermal gold and silver)
- Visual inspection of drill rigs; conduct downhole surveying; communicate between drillers and the geological team
- Other duties as assigned
Data Management & Reporting
- Enter geological data into database management systems accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and end-of-program geological reports
- Contribute to geological interpretations and cross-sections as required
Site & Safety
- Follow all site health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard identification
- Maintain a clean and organized core shack environment
- Liaise with drillers and field technicians in a professional and collaborative manner
Qualifications
Required
- Working toward or holding a certification in geology or a related earth science discipline (B.Sc., diploma, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with low-sulphidation epithermal, porphyry, or orogenic gold systems considered a strong asset
- Proficiency with computers and geological data entry software (e.g., Microsoft Office, acQuire, QGIS, Geobank, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent logging standards over extended periods
- Physically fit and comfortable working in field conditions
Preferred
- Minimum 1–2 field seasons of core logging experience
- Experience with oriented core, structural geology, and drilling in general
- Familiarity with the Spences Bridge Gold Belt or similar BC geological terranes
- First Aid certification (OFA Level 1 or higher)
- Valid driver's license

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
