Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ/AZ Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating concrete mixer trucks to deliver ready-mix concrete to various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, commercial driving, and construction site safety protocols. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team on diverse projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials.
Duties
- Safely operate DZ/AZ certified concrete mixer trucks to transport ready-mix concrete to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each load delivered.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and construction crews to ensure timely deliveries aligned with project schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, including operating loaders or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation and delivery operations.
- Support other construction activities such as paving, concrete forming, or finishing as required.
Qualifications
- Valid DZ/AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and vehicle maintenance.
- Experience in construction environments, particularly with concrete or paving projects.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, or other construction equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and forming processes is advantageous.
- Prior experience with concrete truck operation or similar heavy-duty vehicles preferred.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to following safety protocols on job sites.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, loading, and unloading materials.
