Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant Level II to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role requires a professional with strong knowledge of dental procedures, medical terminology, and dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix. Experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, or CAD is a plus. The Dental Assistant Level II will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software systems like Maxident
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
- Maintain medical and dental terminology proficiency to ensure precise communication
- Assist with lab work or other clinical tasks as required to support the dental team
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper documentation throughout all procedures
Requirements
- Certification or experience in dental assisting; additional training in orthodontics or pediatrics is preferred
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient care
- Experience with CAD systems for digital imaging or lab work is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within healthcare settings is advantageous
- Certification in radiography
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control, safety, and professionalism
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
