Position Overview
Rise & Shine Autism Services is seeking a passionate, motivated, and dedicated Behaviour Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, applying behaviour analytic strategies to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviours within the client’s home. This is a meaningful opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and their families.
Note: Currently hiring for clients in Kleinberg and Brampton.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, one-on-one therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder using applied behaviour analysis (ABA) techniques.
- Support assessments and treatment planning utilizing assessment tools such as ABLLS-R, AFLS, VB-MAPP, and other relevant curricula.
- Conduct daily data collection and analysis to track client progress.
- Maintain clear, ongoing communication with families and supervisors to provide updates on client development.
- Organize and manage client documentation, including data entry, progress reporting, and preparation of data sheets.
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Clear criminal background check, including vulnerable sector screening
- A genuine passion for working in the field of ABA
Work Setting
- One-on-one therapy provided at the client’s home
- Hours: After school hours, typically between 4:30PM & 7:30PM. Weekends are required.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
