Position Summary
VisionaryTiles is looking for a Material Scientist to support the development and testing of ceramic formulations for 3D-printed tiles. This role will focus on material performance, durability, printability, and sustainable formulation development for early-stage production.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop ceramic-based formulations for additive manufacturing.
- Work closely with the 3D Printing Engineer to improve printability and structural performance.
- Conduct material testing related to durability, heat resistance, surface finish, and product consistency.
- Assess alternative raw materials for environmental and cost efficiency.
- Support the development of sustainable ceramic materials and eco-conscious production practices.
- Maintain clear records of experiments, test results, material changes, and technical findings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with material formulation, ceramics, composites, or laboratory testing.
- Strong knowledge of thermal, mechanical, or chemical testing methods.
- Familiarity with material characterization tools and documentation practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to technical detail.
- Interest in sustainable materials, ceramic innovation, and advanced manufacturing.
Pay: $64,000.00 per year
