ABOUT THE ROLE
The Automotive Detailer plays an important role in both the beginning and final stages of the repair process. From preparing vehicles for repair planning to ensuring they are clean and customer-ready upon delivery, this position helps maintain the quality and professionalism our customers expect.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They take pride in their work, work well with others, and are always looking for ways to support the team and improve efficiency within the shop.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Vehicle Check-In
- Pre-wash all incoming vehicles
- Take check-in photos of vehicles prior to repair planning
- Complete pre-scans on vehicles before repairs begin
Detailing & Vehicle Delivery
- Complete post-scans on vehicles after repairs are completed
- Clean and detail vehicles, including interior and exterior surfaces
- Follow established detailing and cleaning procedures
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet company standards
- Maintain detailing checklists and ensure consistency in vehicle presentation
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Shop Support
- Drive vehicles to and from local partners as required
- Move and organize vehicles around the shop and parking lot
- Assist with buffing, polishing, and paint correction when needed
- Support overall shop cleanliness, including garbage removal and general upkeep
QUALIFICATIONS
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Previous automotive or collision repair experience considered an asset
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with a clean driving record required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Fast-paced shop environment that will be wet or damp
- Frequent standing, bending, and moving throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
