Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and management of materials within our facility. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to operate various types of equipment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products as needed.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders.
- Assist in order picking and packing processes to fulfill customer requests accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or material handling is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
