Our Power Line Division is looking for a Certified Master Electrician
Moncrief Construction (MCL) is a family owned business that was established in 1967 primarily working throughout Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba. MCL’s powerline division works in all facets of the powerline construction sector including transmission, sub-transmission, distribution work and also underground, sub-marine cable and telecommunication work. MCL also provides turn key construction of transformer and switching stations.
MCL is looking for a full time Journeyman Electrician to assist with the construction of these types of projects. Applicant must be safety orientated, understand all aspects of the powerline and electrical construction trade and be highly motivated. The applicant must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience with Red Seal certificate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate electrical estimates from drawings and specifications.
- Complete material take-offs and obtain supplier pricing.
- Successfully manage and complete the electrical projects you estimate, from award through closeout.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical installations while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and project specifications.
- Prepare and price change orders, monitor project costs, and support project budgeting.
- Mentor electricians and apprentices while promoting a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
- Valid Master Electrician Licence.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience.
- Proven experience managing electrical construction projects from tender to completion.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical construction.
- Ability to read drawings, prepare competitive bids, and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.

Pay: From $48.00 per hour
