Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Sagard Credit team based in Toronto. The right candidate will join a collaborative, high-conviction investment team and contribute across the full spectrum of Sagard Credit's investment activities, spanning broadly syndicated loans (BSL), direct/private credit, structured credit (CLOs, asset-based finance, SRTs), and opportunistic lending. This role sits at the intersection of fundamental credit analysis and structured product expertise, offering direct exposure to deal structuring, credit agreement negotiation, waterfall modeling, portfolio monitoring, and investment committee processes. The position carries significant responsibility, meaningful influence over investment decisions, and the opportunity to build deep expertise across US and Canadian credit markets.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental credit analysis and build sophisticated financial models across public, private, and structured credit investment opportunities, leveraging Bloomberg and CapIQ
- Support structured credit investing across CLO primary and secondary markets, CFOs, SRTs and Rated feeders with Bloomberg, CapIQ, and Intex
- Analyze and model private asset-based finance (ABF) transactions, including borrowing base mechanics, waterfall structures, and EOD scenario analysis via Intex
- Assist senior team members in negotiating and structuring credit documentation, including credit agreements, amendments, and term sheets, across US and Canadian financings
- Contribute to strategic initiatives including new product development and structured credit pipeline evaluation
- Assist senior members with portfolio management and monitoring leveraging Bloomberg and CapIQ
Experience and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related financial field
- 3-5 years of experience in structured credit products (CLOs, ABS, Synthetic Risk transfers) and US Broadly Syndicated Loan markets, with exposure to Canadian credit (corporate, commercial, residential)
- Solid understanding of US leveraged loan market, credit agreements, covenant structures, and credit restructuring
- Experience using Bloomberg, CapIQ, and Intex
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Proven intellectual curiosity about credit markets, deal structures, and business fundamentals
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a fast-moving, collaborative team
- Collegial, adaptable, and motivated by learning across strategies and asset classes
Terms of Employment
- Type of Position: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

- Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 per year, with the possibility of a bonus
