O'Connor Veterinary Services and South Etobicoke Animal Hospital are seeking an experienced Animal Care Attendant (ACA) to join our growing team. This position requires availability to work evening and weekend shifts at both of our hospital locations.
What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate care and handling for hospitalized and outpatient patients.
- Safely restrain dogs and cats for examinations and treatments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary hospital environment.
- Clean and prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites.
- Assist technicians and veterinarians with patient care and daily hospital operations.
- Monitor hospitalized patients and report concerns promptly.
- Perform laundry, stocking, and inventory duties.
- Ensure all areas of the hospital meet our high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Deliver exceptional client service while creating a welcoming environment for pets and their families.
- Support the team wherever needed to ensure efficient hospital operations.
Qualifications
- Previous Animal Care Attendant experience is mandatory.
- Experience working in a veterinary hospital is required.
- Comfortable handling both cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing outstanding patient care.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
