Job Summary:
Responsible for the installation of drywall systems, including boarding, taping, mudding, sanding, and preparing surfaces for finishing in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings, including measuring, cutting, and fastening.
- Frame around openings (doors, windows, mechanical/electrical penetrations) as required.
- Apply joint tape and multiple coats of compound (mudding) to seams, corners, and fasteners.
- Sand and finish surfaces to achieve specified finish levels (Level 3–5).
- Install corner beads, trims, and access panels as required.
- Ensure proper alignment, fastening patterns, and compliance with drawings/specifications.
- Coordinate with other trades to maintain schedule and workflow.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in drywall installation and finishing (boarding, taping, mudding).
- Knowledge of different drywall systems and finishing levels.
- Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in drywall work.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of fire-rate assemblies and soundproofing systems is an asset.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and PPE requirements.
Pay: $35.00 per hour
