Overview
Weir Construction is hiring experienced Class 1 drivers to haul frac sand in Super B hoppers out of our Grande Prairie yard.
You do not need to move to Grande Prairie. This is sleeper-based long-haul work, so you can live anywhere in Alberta; you run from the truck and take your shifts and resets at the GP yard.
The trucks are brand new, and the work is steady all year rather than seasonal. If you want consistent loads, a truck you are not fighting, and pay that scales with what you actually haul, this is worth a look.
What you will be doing
- Hauling frac sand with Super B hoppers on rotation
- Lease and off-road access work as well as highway running
- Running Motive ELD and keeping logs and paperwork clean
- Pre-trips, post-trips, and reporting defects before they become breakdowns
What we are looking for
- Class 1 licence with at least 3 years of commercial driving experience
- At least 2 years pulling Super B
- Current CSO, ODA, H2S Alive, and Standard First Aid
- Comfortable on lease roads and off-road access in all seasons
- Experience with Motive ELD, or the willingness to learn it quickly
- A commercial driver's abstract with no impaired driving, distracted driving, or other major convictions
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing under our safety-sensitive substance policy

Location: Based out of the Grande Prairie yard. Drivers can live anywhere in Alberta because the work is sleeper-based and all resets are taken at the yard.
