Overview
BuyCellFix is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cell Phone Repair Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in smartphone, tablet, laptop, and gaming console repair, excellent diagnostic skills, and the ability to provide professional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about electronics, problem-solving, and technology, while working with the latest devices including iPhones, Samsung phones, iPads, MacBooks, PS5 consoles, and more.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, laptops, gaming consoles, and other electronic devices.
- Perform advanced repairs including:
- Screen replacements
- Battery replacements
- Charging port repairs
- Camera and speaker repairs
- Water damage diagnostics
- Micro-soldering repairs (HDMI, IC, motherboard-level work)
- Test devices using diagnostic software and repair tools to ensure quality control.
- Maintain accurate repair notes, inventory usage, and customer records.
- Assist customers by explaining repair issues, turnaround times, and pricing professionally.
- Ensure all repairs meet BuyCellFix quality standards and warranty policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Support device buyback, trade-in, and certified pre-owned phone preparation processes.
- Train and assist junior technicians when needed.
- Stay updated on new device models, repair techniques, and industry trends.
- Follow company procedures for data privacy and device handling.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in cell phone or electronics repair.
- Strong knowledge of:
- iPhone repairs
- Samsung repairs
- iPad and tablet repairs
- Laptop and MacBook repairs
- Gaming console repairs (PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch)
- Experience with micro-soldering and motherboard repairs is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to diagnose hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with repair tools, diagnostic equipment, and mobile device testing software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail repair environment.
Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
