Wildwood is a private recreation community on the beautiful shores of the Trent Severn between Big Chute and Lock 45 before Georgian Bay. The Park operates six months of the year from May to the end of October. Currently there are 249 sites sitting on 134 acres of land.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Park Superintendent
· Ensuring the garbage bins located throughout the Park are
kept clean and emptied
· Daily checking of all washroom areas, ensuring the cleanliness and that paper
products are sufficient for the day
· Reporting cleaning supply shortages to the appropriate person.
· Establishing a grass cutting schedule throughout the park and ensuring that all trimming is completed as part of the schedule.
· Pool Maintenance
· Ensuring that the beach area is maintained and clear of debris.’
- Daily testing and cleaning and caretaking of the community pool
· Painting, raking, landscaping construction general park maintenance
· Assisting Park staff when requested.
· All other jobs as assigned.
Qualifications
· Valid Driver’s License
· Reliable transportation
· General knowledge of small power equipment (lawnmowers, grass trimmers etc.)
· Self-starting, detail oriented
· Current First Aid, CPR (an asset but not mandatory)
· Be able to attend WHMIS training
· Ability to lift, walk, bend, reach and various repetitive motions
Comfortable around water as work involves work around pool, waterways and boats in the community
Work outside all season
Work boots required
Preference to candidates that qualify for the Canada Summer Job Program
Job could start immediately
