At Volo Academy of Music, music takes flight, fueled by fun. We’re a creative, student-focused music school dedicated to providing high-quality music education in a supportive and inspiring environment. We’re currently seeking passionate part-time Music Teachers in the following instruments:
- Piano
- Guitar
- Violin
- Voice
- Bass Guitar
- Music Production
Whether you’re an experienced private instructor, a student with strong musical training, or a teacher looking to expand your studio hours, we’d love to hear from you!
Location: Spruce Grove, Alberta & Beaumont, Alberta
What We’re Looking For
- RCM Level 9 or higher (or equivalent) in violin, or voice OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field preferred (students welcome to apply)
- Previous experience working with children; early childhood education a plus
- Ability to teach technique, repertoire, theory, sight reading, ear training, and improvisation
- Strong performance skills and a love for inspiring students
- Excellent communication skills with both families and administrative staff
Responsibilities
- Design engaging and personalized lesson plans
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive learning environment
- Teach with clarity, structure, and creativity
- Assess and write weekly lesson notes for student progress
- Write weekly lesson notes to support student learning
- Prepare students for recitals, exams, and competitions
- Attend recitals and student events as needed

- Are available on evenings and weekends
- Enjoy collaborating with other educators and participating in studio events
- Voice teachers: Can also teach beginner or intermediate piano
