D&D Commercial Roofing is looking for an experienced cladding installer to join our team starting ASAP. With upcoming projects throughout Alberta, we have constant work and are continually growing. We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals and are willing to work with the right candidate(s). Wage is to be based on experience and certifications.
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Experience with composite panels, metal cladding, fiber cement, metal flashing, and insulated metal panels.
Duties and responsibilities
· Lift up to 50 lbs
· Climb up and down ladders to minimum heights of 25 feet
· Work in a fast paced environment
· Work and communicate effectively with others
· Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
· Read blueprints or work order specifications
· Install metal, composite panels, and various other types of cladding and flashings
· Install various break-shape flashing's, gutters & downspouts
· Install various types of sealant, caulking & air barrier membranes
· Measure and properly layout panels using string lines, measuring tapes, laser levels, and other required tools
· Operate manual and power operated tools to cut, bend, drill, measure, fasten panels and light gauge metal materials
· Willingness to learn and advance within the company
· Previous work experience installing building envelope products an asset
Abilities
· Ability to learn and follow safety policy
· Ability to work in all weather conditions
· Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
· Ability to use powered hand tools
· Ability to work at heights
· Willingness to work out of town
· Must have a driving license
Fall Arrest, Torch Safety, Fire Extinguisher, Standard First Aid or/and telehandler training/certification considered an asset.
