PVL Environmental is a family-owned company whose roots in Manitoba’s transportation industry date back to 1946. Today, we are one of the province’s fastest growing critical environmental service carriers.
We take pride in keeping municipalities running smoothly behind-the-scenes. Specializing in waste and recycling materials, we haul it all—from disaster clean-up and commercial materials, to biowaste, hazardous materials, and much more.
WHAT WE BELIEVE IN
- Doing things right. We find the best solution, no matter the complexity or size of the job.
- Taking pride in our work. We’re experienced specialists who know our equipment and industry inside and out.
- Never missing a load. We win by being reliable, dependable, and efficient—every single time.
- Putting people first. We’re in the relationships business, and our employees and clients matter to us.
- Being problem solvers. We’re action takers who create win-win situations for our clients.
OTHER REASONS TO APPLY
- Home every night. 99% of our jobs are local or regional. On the rare occasion we require you for an overnight run, your meal and accommodation expenses will be taken care of.
- No slow-downs. This is a year-round job with no seasonality. You’ll have guaranteed work for at least 40 hours per week, and paid overtime per federal regulations where applicable.
- None of the risks that come with being an O/O. We provide the equipment, and trust you to operate independently while doing good work. That means less stress for you, no overhead, no costly truck payments, and no operating downtime.

You’ll also need to be able to perform routine physical labor including: pushing, pulling, kneeling, twisting, reaching above and below the shoulder, standing, stooping, crouching, bending, occasionally carrying weights over 50 lbs. You'll receive on-the-job training for all relevant tasks.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capability to handle a mix of driving conditions, from muddy delivery sites to Manitoba's winter driving conditions.
- Good mechanical aptitude to deal with minor onsite problems as they arise including (but not limited to) changing a hose, adding fluids, or adjusting tire pressures.
