We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gas Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems in commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, schematics, and mechanical systems. The Gas Fitter will ensure safety standards are met while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with experience in construction, or maintenance are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain gas piping systems according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other precision measuring devices to ensure proper fit and alignments
- Troubleshoot system issues using mechanical knowledge.
- Perform routine maintenance on gas systems to prevent leaks or failures
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborate with team members during construction or manufacturing projects to meet deadlines
- Meet with clients and plan job timelines
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and schematics reading
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and calipers
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to system installation
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for gas systems and related equipment
- Familiarity with schematics, mechanical drawings, and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to industry standards
