A1 Tree Service is urgently looking to hire an experienced Arborist for pruning and removal of trees.
Qualifications include:
- Aerial truck experience
- Able to climb trees at an expert level, minimum 5 years experience required.
- Understanding of the principle and practices of tree maintenance and arboriculture.
- Be physically capable of performing the required duties and work flexible hours by shift
- Able to plan, supervise and to train other entry level workers.
- Valid class 5 drivers license and own transportation to site office.
- Must be good with the general public.
- Able to pass a drug test for any illegal drugs.
Major Job Duties Include:
- Climbing trees, using a rope and harness, or climbing ladders to gain access to work areas.
- Recognize diseases and insect problems of trees and woody plants to apply appropriate treatments.
- Trimming and shaping trees and shrubs to enhance their appearance and health.
- Cutting out dead, low hanging and undesirable limbs.
- Removing trees and performing stump grinding as needed.
- Climbing the most technically challenging trees in the city comfortably.
- Supervising and training other entry level workers.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out and followed by the company's safety policy.
-Must know how to use and maintain chainsaw, and have your own climbing gear.
