Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at the Japanese Homegood Shop located within Lansdowne Centre.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience
- Assist customers in locating products and offering knowledgeable advice on merchandise
- Maintain high standard, organised and attractive product displays
- Upselling skills.
- Previous experience using the POS system, including handling cash and card payments
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Support the team with general store duties such as cleaning, organising, and ensuring the shop floor remains welcoming
Requirements
- 1 year+ previous experience in retail preferred
- Fluency in English; Japanese speaking is a strong asset.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Flexibility to work during store hours, including weekends
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$27.20 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
