We’re looking for a Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary team with both heart and standards. This is a role for someone who believes that leadership is built on consistency, clarity, and care. A bustling restaurant in the heart of Gastown, Di Beppe is inspired by the Italian immigrant’s desire to share a piece of home while living abroad — a young Italian restaurant with an old Italian soul. It’s lively, generous, and rooted in tradition. It’s a room where regulars are known by name and hospitality is expressed as much through the kitchen as it is on the floor.
You have:
- 2+ years experience in a similar role
- A passion for food, cooking, leadership, and mentorship
- A calm, kind, and steady presence with team members, especially under pressure
- A sense of ownership in your role with a willingness to ask questions, receive feedback, and improve
- The ability to support cost controls for food, labour, and inventory, following systems and standards with care
- Experience with Italian cuisine is considered a huge asset
- Food Safe Level 1 required
