Pipefitter Foreperson
To work at our Suncor Debottleneck Project in the Fort MacMuarry area
SALARY: Up to $$63.04 per hour
OVERTIME: After 8 hours in a day, or 40 hours in a week
START DATE: June 29th 2026
SCHEDULE: 14 days on, 07 days off
HOURS PER DAY: 10 hours per day
PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
SHIFT: Dayshift
ACCOMODATIONS: Camp
DURATION: 18 months
WORK SCOPE: Brownfield
Working Conditions:
· Full-time, Temporary

Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pipefitter Foreman/Woman in the industrial construction industry
· Must have valid Journeyperson ticket
· Proven track record of excellence in safety and job completion
· Interpersonal skills – establish direct working relationships and rapport with all levels within the organization, communication skills including verbal and written
· Ability to work effectively with a wide range of personality types
· Able to transfer knowledge and mentor others
· Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
· Able to read drawings (erection drawings and ISO)
Responsibilities:
· Communicate and ensure compliance with the safety regulations (Occupational Health and Safety Act) and safety policies and procedures.
· Identify needs and provide or arrange for crew safety training
· Conduct Daily Toolbox Meetings
· Participate in safety/incident investigations and reviews and report any near misses to your Superintendent or General Foreman.
· Ensure new crew members are oriented to the job, HSE and Quality Control
· Assess competency and capability of tradespersons; evaluating crew capability and benchmarking to others to ensure that the crew meets required levels of quality.
· Coordinate labour and equipment in accordance with project progress
· Coordinate on the job training for apprentices and facilitate mentoring of apprentices by journeypeople
· Identify other training needs for the crew and communicate these needs to your applicable General Foreman (applicable safety tickets).
· Complete evaluations of those who are enrolled in the Green Hat Mentorship Program as required.
· Promote, support, and facilitate teamwork between all construction crews by promoting a positive, visible teamwork attitude among all crews
· Assign labour man hours to appropriate cost codes.
· Identify inspect and/or verify that all tools and materials required by the crew are available and complete
· Identify needs, deficiencies, and changes in plan/schedule. Assess impacts and communicate these to the appropriate General Foreman. Plan work ahead for equipment and scaffold requirements.
· Translate general work requirements into a prioritized plan for individual tasks and assignments.
· Be aware of management changes to the schedule of completion and communicate these changes to the schedule to your crew.
· Work with the crew to overcome work challenges

· Resolve, or if unable to resolve, report any scheduling conflicts with other crews and contractors to the appropriate persons.
· Recognize, address, and resolve issues/problems among/between crew(s)
· Oversee the execution of the work, including quality and production, by ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows the blueprints
· Inspect completed work and initiate timely resolutions. Report any rework done
· Maintain foreman’s log or diaries
· Report on workface production and work progress to General Foreman
· Oversee the housekeeping/maintenance
· Other duties as assigned
