Tool Crib Attendant / Inventory Coordinator

We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Tool Crib Attendant / Inventory Coordinator to join our team. Opportunities are available on both Day Shift and Night Shift.
This is a unionized position governed by the applicable Collective Agreement. Successful applicants will be required to join the union and maintain membership in good standing as a condition of employment.
The Tool Crib Attendant / Inventory Coordinator is a member of a service-oriented team focused on providing accurate inventory control, material tracking, and equipment management support for our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records of materials, tools, and equipment required to support shop operations.
Responsibilities
- Order, receive, track, and organize materials and equipment for manufacturing operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
- Perform equipment inspections and maintain related documentation.
- Enter and update inventory, material, and equipment information using company inventory systems.
- Verify the accuracy of inventory records, reports, and documentation.
- Prepare inventory and equipment reports as required.
- Coordinate with supply chain and production teams to ensure material and equipment needs are met.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for materials, welding consumables, and small tools.
- Assist with small tool maintenance and repairs in conjunction with the Equipment Maintenance Technician.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe tool crib and inventory area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 0–6 months of experience tool crib operations,
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or industrial environment is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with inventory management software is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, crouching, and lifting.
- Exposure to noise and typical shop conditions.
Available ShiftsDay Shift
Monday to Thursday
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Night Shift
Monday to Thursday
4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
