Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Protective and Decorative Concrete, Epoxy Coatings and Concrete Polishing Installer to join our construction team.
*****Must have experience in but not limited to;
* Epoxy/Polyaspaetic chip floor coatings
* Epoxy broadcast systems
* Polished concrete installations
*Self levelling cement overlays
*Interior and exterior concrete resurfacing, repairs and sealing
* Concrete grinding, shot-blasting and substrate preparation.
This role involves applying high-quality epoxy coatings, polishing concrete surfaces, and executing various related tasks to enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of commercial and residential flooring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and construction processes, with the ability to operate heavy equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

There may be some weekend and out of town work required, however, the majority of our clients are in the Edmonton area. Alberta Custom Concrete is a family based business and we offer competitive wages with a low stress work atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and repairing concrete to ensure proper adhesion of coatings.
- Apply protective and decorative epoxy coatings using appropriate techniques for durability and visual appeal.
- Polish concrete surfaces to achieve desired finishes, including smoothness and gloss levels.
- Operate heavy equipment such as grinders, mixers, and power tools safely according to safety protocols.
- Read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Perform masonry tasks including caulking, concrete forming, and restoration work as required.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, or installing materials.
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction equipment operation and maintenance.
- Experience with decorative concrete, concrete finishing, flooring installation, and finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools such as grinders, drills, saws, and caulking guns.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics for precise project execution.
- Knowledge of renovation processes including restoration work and concrete protection.
- Strong understanding of construction safety procedures; ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt plans based on site conditions.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong work ethic who is committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship in every project undertaken.
Pay: $25.00-$36.00 per hour
