Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, kind, and compassionate RVT/Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient and client care, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, collaborative environment focused on animal health and well-being, with a strong emphasis on professional growth and skill development. Laboratory experience is highly valued to assist with diagnostic testing and sample analysis. This is an environment where a technician can work to their level of expertise. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures with precision and care
- Perform laboratory tests, analyze samples, and record results accurately in Pulse to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures ensuring patient safety throughout
- Provide compassionate patient care including restraint, wound management, and post-operative monitoring
- Educate pet owners on health care, medication administration, and preventive measures
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and treatment areas to uphold clinic standards
- Manage patient records accurately and efficiently using clinic software systems (pulse)
Requirements
- Valid RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) license or equivalent certification (preferred, we would consider a student technician or a veterinary assistant with strong aptitude.)
- Prior laboratory experience is preferred to support diagnostic testing processes
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners is crucial
- Ability to work positively and collaboratively within a team-oriented setting

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
