Operations Supervisor
Job Description
Part Time (Temporary until end of April 2027)
Key Requirements
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Prior experience as a supervisor or team lead in an operations setting
- Analytical skills to evaluate data and make day-to-day operational decisions
Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the BGC Fort McMurray, including building maintenance and upkeep. Supports research and grant application preparation for potential funders (government, corporate, and private) and assists with grant reporting and performance tracking.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills; non-judgmental, positive attitude, energetic
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in a supervisory or administrative support role
- Excellent communication skills; spoken and written
- Ability to work within a team environment with moderate supervision
- Strong relationship-building skills with funders, volunteers, and staff
- Knowledge of community resources and agencies
- Good negotiation skills, honesty, integrity, standard of excellence, ability to motivate others, and a positive attitude
Responsibilities/Requirements
The duties and responsibilities for this position will include but not be limited to the following:
- Assist in creating proposals for potential corporate donors/funders and help prepare grant applications for submission
- Support the implementation of the Fund Development Plan and Marketing Plan
- Coordinate building maintenance, including scheduling repairs, monitoring facility upkeep, and liaising with contractors/vendors as needed
- Arrange for building maintenance, upkeep and improvements as required
- Manage BGC Fort McMurray's OH&S Program, ensuring compliance
- Participate in various BGC Fort McMurray fund development activities and events
- Asset tracking, facility permits and security
- Conduct operation standard reviews
- Help organize and update policies and procedures as directed by the Executive Director
- Identify areas where day-to-day operations can be improved
- Other tasks and duties as may be required

Other Requirements
- Must provide a current, clear Criminal Reference Check (CPIC)
- Must have a valid driver's licence with a clean abstract
- Must have vehicle
