Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cladder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing exterior wall panels and cladding systems on various building projects. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. The Cladder plays a vital role in ensuring the durability and aesthetic appeal of our projects, contributing to high-quality building finishes.
Duties
- Measure and cut cladding materials using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise fitment according to project specifications.
- Install exterior wall panels, siding, and other cladding materials on building structures following blueprints and technical drawings.
- Use caulking techniques to seal joints and ensure weatherproofing of installed panels.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate efficient installation processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to accurately execute installation tasks.
- Assist with related carpentry tasks such as framing, trimming, or minor repairs as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during work activities.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and measuring devices.
- Construction experience with a focus on exterior wall systems or siding installation.
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to read blueprints accurately.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handling materials that may weigh up to 50 pounds or more.
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various construction tasks.
- Good physical stamina for working outdoors in different weather conditions and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
