We're looking for a compassionate and dependable Health Care Aide to provide one-on-one care for a client in Beaverlodge and the surrounding area.

We're currently looking to add an additional team member to an existing care team to help ensure continuity of care for our client. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside an established caregiver while providing consistent, relationship-based support as the client's care needs continue to grow.

Schedule & Availability
We are currently hiring a caregiver who can provide consistent availability.
Current Schedule
· Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
· Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
· Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
· Saturday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
As the client's care needs increase, this position is expected to transition to longer daytime shifts on select days. While the exact schedule has not yet been finalized, anticipated hours may increase to approximately 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, likely on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Applicants should be available to accommodate this anticipated increase in hours as the client's care needs evolve.
What You'll Do
Every client is unique, but responsibilities may include:
· Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.
· Assisting with personal care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
· Supporting mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
· Providing medication assistance within the Health Care Aide scope of practice.
· Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration.
· Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
· Monitoring for changes in a client's health or wellbeing and communicating concerns promptly.
· Escorting clients to appointments and community outings when required.
· Completing accurate and timely documentation.
· Working independently while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and compassion.
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
· Health Care Aide Certificate.
· Current CLHA registration in good standing.
· Professional liability insurance.
· Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
· Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check.
· Valid Alberta driver's licence.
· Reliable vehicle to travel to the client's home.
Experience & Skills
The successful applicant will have:
· Minimum 2 years of Health Care Aide experience preferred.
· Experience providing care to seniors in a home care, supportive living, or long-term care setting.
· Strong understanding of person-centred care.
· Excellent observation and critical thinking skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· The ability to work independently with confidence and sound judgment.
· The ability to adapt to each client's unique routines, preferences, and goals.
