Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Builder & Carpenter to oversee and execute high-quality construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive carpentry skills, and a comprehensive understanding of various building techniques. This role offers an opportunity to lead diverse projects, from framing and cabinetry to restoration and finishing work, ensuring all work meets safety standards and client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crews to ensure project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols are met
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans
- Perform or oversee concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, and framing tasks
- Install cabinets, flooring, tile, siding, and perform detailed woodworking using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct restoration projects including drywall repair, painting, caulking, and general finishing work
- Manage construction estimating tasks for materials and labor needs
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure smooth project workflow
- Oversee heavy lifting operations and ensure proper use of equipment for safety and efficiency
- Conduct plumbing or electrical work as needed or supervise subcontractors in these areas
- Maintain a clean and organized job site while adhering to safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, construction, woodworking, or related trades with leadership responsibilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics and construction estimating
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, rebar installation equipment, and other construction machinery
- Experience with concrete forming, masonry techniques, roofing installation, siding application, tile laying, flooring installation, and caulking
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on job sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Handyman experience or background in electrical or plumbing work is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for site visits or material deliveries

Pay: $25.97-$44.64 per hour
