Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Event Porter to assist with event support, post-event cleanup, organization, and rental inventory management. This is occasional, on-call work based on event schedules and business needs. While many shifts take place the day after events, some shifts may also be scheduled during events to help maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational support.
This role is essential in ensuring event spaces, equipment, and rental items are cleaned, organized, and prepared for future use. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy event venues during and after events.
- Collect, sort, and organize rental items such as tables, chairs, linens, décor, and equipment.
- Inspect rentals for cleanliness, damage, or missing items and report any issues.
- Pack, label, and store inventory in designated areas.
- Remove trash, recycling, and event-related debris.
- Sweep, mop, wipe down surfaces, and perform general housekeeping tasks.
- Assist with loading and unloading rental equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage, warehouse, and event areas.
- Provide general event support as directed by supervisors.
- Follow company safety procedures and proper handling techniques for equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing event schedules and priorities.
- Previous experience in event operations, cleaning, warehousing, or hospitality is an asset but not required.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
Schedule
- Casual, occasional position with preplanned shifts for 2026
- Hours vary by event needs
- Most shifts occur after events for cleanup and organization, though some shifts may take place during events.
- Availability on evenings, weekends

- Indoor and outdoor work may be required.
