Job Title: Bartender

Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our team at Region, Food, Wine + Bar, a region-focused food, wine, and bar establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, a deep knowledge of regional wines and spirits, and a dedication to providing exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
- Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers, providing recommendations based on guests’ preferences and the regional focus of the menu.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistently according to recipes and standards.
- Engage with guests to create a memorable and personalized experience.
Drink Preparation:
- Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard recipes.
- Pour wine and serve beverages, ensuring proper portions and presentation.
- Maintain knowledge of current drink trends and seasonal beverage offerings.
- Develop and recommend signature cocktails and beverage specials that reflect the regional theme.
Bar Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies.
- Ensure all glassware, utensils, and equipment are clean and in good working condition.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in ordering and restocking bar supplies.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service flow.
- Participate in pre-service meetings and ongoing training sessions.
- Assist with training new bar staff as needed.
Cash Handling:
- Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and room charges.
- Balance cash receipts at the end of shifts and report any discrepancies to management.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a high-end restaurant or bar setting preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of regional wines, spirits, and cocktail recipes.
- Must have their Smart Serve.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure with grace.
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
