Position Overview
1911 Gold Corporation is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Mill Millwright to support the maintenance, repair, and reliability of mill and site equipment at the True North Mine. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous mill operations through effective preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair. The Mill Millwright will work closely with maintenance, planning, supervision, and other trades to minimize downtime, maintain equipment integrity, and support production objectives in a fast-paced mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Maintenance & Operations
- Perform routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance inspections and servicing in accordance with OEM recommendations
- Repair, service, rebuild, install, modify, and maintain machinery and stationary equipment
- Troubleshoot production and mechanical issues and take appropriate preventative or corrective action
- Perform operational equipment checks to ensure safe and reliable performance
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems and circuits
- Repair HDPE pipelines and complete pipeline pigging activities
- Perform hot work, including cutting and welding, in accordance with site procedures
- Operate mobile equipment as required
Preventative Maintenance & Documentation
- Actively participate in the development and continuous improvement of preventative maintenance schedules and objectives
- Maintain accurate maintenance records for assigned tasks
- Document and communicate completed work, irregularities, and ongoing maintenance requirements
Safety & Collaboration
- Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and SOPs
- Complete required safety documentation, including 5-point safety cards and FLRAs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist other trades with tasks as required or assigned
- Collaborate with supervision, planning, and co-workers to ensure maintenance requirements are met
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years in a mine mill environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong mechanical maintenance and repair skills
- Excellent problem identification, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and within a team-based maintenance environment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions
- Physically capable of working in an active industrial and mining environment
