Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient communication abilities, and a passion for promoting oral health. This role involves delivering preventive dental care, educating patients, and supporting overall practice operations to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, periodontal screenings, and other preventive procedures with precision and care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans tailored to their needs.
- Assist in the development of personalized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Support the dental team during procedures, including assisting with orthodontics, pediatrics, or other specialty treatments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally and empathetically.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with relevant state or regional certification.
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental management software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures enhances patient care delivery.
- Bilingual abilities are considered a strong asset for serving diverse patient populations.
- Experience in dental assisting or related roles is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental health is essential for accurate documentation and communication.
