About the Role
We're looking for a Technical Drafting Specialist to join our team. This is a newly created position and an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or recent college or university graduate looking to build a career in the live entertainment industry.
In this role, you'll primarily create and maintain technical drawings using Vectorworks and CAD while supporting production teams with stage plots, equipment layouts, and technical documentation. You'll also have the opportunity to develop skills in industry-specific software such as Depence and Finale.
This position offers more than just drafting—you'll collaborate with multiple departments, contribute to a wide variety of live event projects, and gain valuable hands-on experience in the entertainment production industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain technical drawings using Vectorworks and CAD.
- Develop stage plots, equipment layouts, and production drawings for live events.
- Incorporate company equipment into existing venue and production drawings.
- Convert and manage files between software platforms, including SketchUp and Vectorworks.
- Maintain organized, accurate drawing files and equipment libraries.
- Learn and utilize Depence and Finale software as required.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Permitting & Logistics team, and other internal departments to support project execution.
- Assist with pyrobook design and other technical documentation as needed.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and project readiness.
Qualifications Required
- Diploma or degree in CAD, Drafting, Theatre Production, Entertainment Production, Design, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience using Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Interest in live entertainment, concerts, theatre, or event production.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in drafting, entertainment production, or a related field.
- Experience using SketchUp.
- Familiarity with Depence or Finale software (training will be provided).
- Previous experience in live events, concerts, theatre, or entertainment production.

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
