Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various products and surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and familiarity with manufacturing processes. The Painter will contribute to the production of durable, aesthetically appealing products while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and attention to detail
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts to transport materials safely within the workspace
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist in assembly, machining, or surface preparation tasks
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, mechanical handling, and use of chemicals
- Perform quality checks on finished surfaces to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with other manufacturing tasks including basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining processes
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely (certification is a plus)
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and assembly processes
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with safety procedures involving chemicals, welding, and mechanical equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
Pay: $17.94-$34.30 per hour
Work Location: In person
