After nearly 30 years in the mortgage industry, I'm looking for a highly organized, proactive Senior Mortgage Underwriter / Mortgage Fulfillment Specialist to become an integral part of my growing mortgage business.
This is more than an underwriting role. I'm looking for someone who will take ownership of mortgage files from application through funding and become a trusted extension of my business.
What You'll Do
- Review mortgage applications and supporting documentation.
- Analyze income, credit, assets, and liabilities.
- Structure mortgage files and recommend the best lender for each client.
- Prepare lender submission notes.
- Submit files and manage lender conditions through to funding.
- Communicate with lenders, clients, lawyers, appraisers, and insurers.
- Keep files organized and moving while delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Help improve systems and processes as we continue to grow.
You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of mortgage transactions, including:
- Purchases
- Refinances
- Renewals
- Self-employed borrowers
- Rental properties
- Construction financing
- Alternative lending
- Private mortgages
- Reverse mortgages
- Complex income scenarios
What I'm Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Canadian mortgage industry.
- Previous experience as a Mortgage Underwriter, Mortgage Fulfillment Specialist, Mortgage Administrator, or Mortgage Broker.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian lender guidelines and mortgage structuring.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Someone who takes ownership, thinks proactively, and genuinely cares about delivering an outstanding client experience.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Compensation
This is not a salaried position.
Compensation is based on a per-funded-deal revenue split, with additional performance bonuses for exceptional results.
