Ziyutec was founded in 2012, initially incorporated in the Province of Ontario as a mechanical and electrical engineering consulting firm. We have now become a fully multidisciplinary engineering company.
Ziyutec has successfully delivered hundreds of projects across Canada since its inception. Our projects cover federal government, commercial, residential, institutional, health care, life science, transportation, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Due to expansion, we are looking for a senior/ intermediate electrical engineer who is based in GTA to join our engineering team.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
· P.Eng. with over 5 years of experience in lighting, power, fire alarm, communication, security, A/V and PA system design
· Good command of CEC, BCBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, ULC, NEMA, TIA/EIA, IEEE, etc.
· In depth expertise and skills in Auto CAD, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
· Experience in project management and coordination
· Exceptional communication and excellent organization skills
· Experience in instrumentation, controls and commissioning is an asset
· Can legally work in Canada
· Language: fluent in oral and written English
Responsibilities
· Prepare project documentation including drawings, specifications, schedules and estimates.
· Prepare system layouts, details, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and building schedules.
· Perform load, lighting, voltage drop and fault calculations.
· Supervise and direct EITs, designers and draft persons in preparing design documents.
· Attend coordination meetings and coordinate design with other engineering disciplines.
· Interface with AHJ’s, clients, contractors and sales reps.
· Participate in site tours with contractors during bid period and assisted with the review of tenders / bids.
· Attend site meetings, perform site visits, prepare site visit reports and deficiency reports.
· Prepare addenda, site instructions, contemplated change notices (CCN) and review CCN pricing as required.
· Review and respond to requests for information.
· Review shop drawings, progress draws, record drawings and maintenance manuals.
